BIOGRAPHY
Emmanuel Fillion (b. Soissons, France) studied stone carving and stereotomy at the École Saint-Lambert, Paris, and carved on the restoration of monuments across France — among them Notre-Dame de Paris, the Louvre, and Chambord — before moving to the United States in the mid-1990s. He works in marble and bronze between Pietrasanta, Italy, and Florida. His seven-foot bronze Exaltation, an homage to Martha Graham, stands in the sculpture garden of the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, Beverly Hills. His work is held in private and public collections in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East.
